What is My Home Tech Guy? A one man solution for all your technical
needs!
By day I work an 8 to 5 Monday through Friday for a fortune 500 company
as an IT and other technologies technician. After hours and weekends I
am available to you as your personal high tech support guy specializing
in computers and networking for home and small business users. I do the
same thing the guys in a big office
IT department do; keep your computers and network up and running
smoothly. Hire your own personal moonlighting computer tech guy to come
to your home or business to take care of all your computer needs.
Serving the Coeur d’Alene and Spokane area
I am single source for all your other technical needs!
I am a sort of technical handy man. I do commercial phones systems,
security systems, camera systems, and even home theater. I have service
as a technician in all these fields throughout my career. Why have a
different guy for each system and deal with have one blame the other
when something goes wrong. I can take care of it all for you.
-
Commercial phone system upgrades and service.
-
Burglar alarm system installation and repair.
-
Camera system installation and service.
-
Access control systems using electronic key passes or keyed access.
-
Home theater installation and service.
-
Intercom system installation and service.
What sort of IT things do I do?
Of coarse I can fix your broken computer whether it is a hardware or
software problem. But I can do much more than that!
-
I can help you with buying or upgrading your system.
-
I do wired and wireless networking so you can share internet access
and data between your computers. You can even share printers,
scanners, and more.
-
I can make your computer run faster by eliminating all the extra
junk software that you don’t need or ever use.
-
I can help you to become more knowledgeable and productive with your
computer with tutoring. How would you like to be able to look at the
file system on your computer and know how to organize it? It’s not
hard to do. You just need someone to show you how easy it really is!
-
I can even make you your own custom designed web page or Windows
computer program using the latest .net technology from Microsoft.
Don't let the other guys erase your important data.
That is the number one complaint I get about the competition! They fixed
my computer but erased all my saved pictures and files. What could be
worse? I at My Home Tech Guy value your data as much as you do. I always
back up your data before any procedure that could put it at risk.
Don't let the other guys lose all your installed programs
Most tech support and repair shops reinstall Windows to fix things that
they don't know how to otherwise. This is a sign that they are less
competent. Don't let the other guys reinstall windows when it can be
repaired. Reinstalling Windows means that all your software must also be
reinstalled. And if you don't have the installation disks then you may
lose expensive software you had before.
Think your computer is operating perfectly and doesn't need service?
Don’t be so sure.
If you use the internet from your computer and aren’t running anti virus
and at least one anti spyware software, then it is likely you are
infected even if you don’t notice a problem. A lot of spyware doesn’t
adversely affect your computer's performance. It simply does as it's
name implies. It spies on you and the data on your computer. Some
spyware track where you go on the internet and report it back to a
database. Others are not so benign. They search your computer for more
harmful information about you such as passwords, account numbers, and
social security numbers which can be used by identity thieves. Let me do
a complete check of each or your computers and your network to make sure
you are safe and secure.
